That could be optimistic (acceptance over pining for what isn't), or it could be something else. I don't know your mom's personality. Try to take it as a positive and keep on improving

    - - because you're really making some major progress on your life
I am listening to this song on repeat.
I remember hearing it on the now defunct Kiss FM in high school my sophomore year in New York.
It's senor citizen day at yoga class today. Really it's all old people except for one younger guy.

Even though you know the masked individual will do you no harm,
it still happens that you revert to the story that scares you. But you're
working on it. You managed to stay in the class and try.

You stayed through class. Sounds like you didn’t yell at him. You were exposed to your phobia and you survived. Keep this as evidence for next time.

Forgot to say, but later in the class two younger woman showed up. One was friendly saying I was not in her way and smiled at me so that helped.
I'm trying to be positive but life group tonight is a miserable experience hearing how three couples meet there spouses.
Do you hate when certain NTs talk so much they won't shut up but when you talk your inturruped.

Very much. I think NTs have perfected the skill of talking while inhaling.
I blew two chances one yesterday and today to talk to an woman after yoga class after she was friendly and said hi. The other one had the same mat holder who she compliment me on.

The issue is thar they were both attractive which makes it harder to talk too.

The thing is I can talk to one of my yoga teachers who is very attractive and have good conversations but when I talk to her I sweat buckets everytime.

Never confuse attractiveness with worth. Because I thought myself ugly and unworthy, I felt intimidateed by attractive women. Little did I recognize that women look for more than attractiveness much of the time. The comedian, Red Green put it succinctly: "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."
My wellness group at the yoga studio is canceled because no one bothers to sign up. I was looking forward to it since last week. I wanted to expand my social circle past my church groups.

I am going to Justin life group instead. Which is part of my church group.
Unlike last night when I tried to socialize with a female student and two if them were rude and one gave me a weird stare. I talked to a woman after class and she was friendly. I knew she was as earlier she said hi and smiled at me so I knew approaching her after class she would be nice.

Way to go! You will surely encounter rude types and it is better to find out right off. Those that are pleasant and make connection easy are the reward for putting up with people carrying baggage. All it takes is meeting one accepting woman with harmonious interests. You are doing well.
I am dealing with rude woman better with rejection. I had two who were rude at yoga class. One slammed the door in my face and when I talked to the other one she completely ignored me. But I did not let it ruin my day and my mood is good as I focus on the yoga. I also like talking to the teacher who is super friendly after class.

This can be said about anybody so it's not a jab, but some women really have a vendetta against men. I'm glad you're handling it well and not taking it personally.

You have made great progress! With that attitude you may be making yourself more attractive to a serious, accepting, woman who appreciates people. I hope you run into one of those.
A woman who knows me from church approached me at the park. Too bad that the guy who is lucky and clings to her also lives in my neighborhood. Probably her boyfriend by now.

Literally clings to her? Like touching her?

No but I always see them together. Even when she is by herself eventually he comes.

He showed up about 10 minutes after talking to her.
Has this happened to you go to talk to someone you know but it's the wrong person a stranger and you feel embarrassed. It happened today. The woman was confused.

Do you have trouble with facial recognition? I do, so I hardly approach anybody first for that reason!

She was Asian. So is my yoga teacher. Lot of them look the same.

I got so tired of introducing myself to people and then discovering I already know them that I no longer introduce myself. I just say 'hey'.
I am bumbed my monthly membership from the Yoga studio is going up. The owner said because of rent. It's still way cheaper than if I paid for each class separately.

You shouldn't focus on competitiveness or peacocking. Best not risk injury. Pushing yourself is good, but listen to your gut - enjoy the poses, playfully. Try and ease off the negative thinking if such thoughts pop into your head. And breath through it all - deeply.

Thanks. I am told if I can't do the downward dog, I can just do a child pose.

Why are people with ASD ignored by others, even in a group?
    Tony Ramirez
    Tony Ramirez
I actually like to be around NT people but only the nice ones. I agree I do find their topics to be boring. When they keep changing the subject is annoying as I am still on the last subject. Except here of course I don't mind talking with ASD.

Can only speak for myself but I used to get ignored too until one day I realized it was because of the reasons you've stated.. staying on the last topic of discussion instead of moving with the flow of the conversation, and if you do it enough times (along with not listening and commenting on what others are saying which I would do) people will impulsively ignore you other times as well unfortunately.
    Rodafina
    Rodafina
In a group, I often get ignored because I don’t have the will to fight to be heard.

Another reason that I am ignored is because I make myself invisible, so that works out in my favor when I don’t actually want to be in the group.
Life group was stressful today. There were over ten people there and whenever I tried to talk the dog will start barking and the doorbell would ring.

Yet when the others talked on and on they were not inturruped until I tried to talk then I was inturruped.

    What is up with that?

I've had this happen, too! I definitely think for me it's usually a self-fulfilling prophecy because I won't return to saying much after the interruption and assume everyone has tuned me out, which definitely doesn't help the issue.

Sometimes, though, this really does happen to people. I've witnessed it from afar and it's like luck / magic just isn't on their side for the day. It's a weird phenomenon.
