Should I take a break from posting?

To be honest, if posting is making you feel worse about yourself and you don't enjoy the experience of using the forums, then taking a break and focusing your efforts inwardly might be best for you. Of course, I don't know if that's actually the case, or why you are considering taking a break. In any case, I wish you the best.

I take breaks sometimes, and it's sometimes nice to have time to work a little. Depends on what you want to do.

Write to yourself and let everything out. I prefer a digital journal but it's your choice.
Why can’t I move forward in this life?

You are moving forward. Moving forward often isn't linear, but sometimes might be more like a sprial, where we're moving forward bit by bit, but revisiting certain themes over time.

Well, you keep specifically stomping on your own foot, which I gotta say, aint helping. And you keep then saying "woe is me" afterwards, every time. Focus on something POSITIVE for once. And then keep doing that. You might find something starts to change.

I mean really, you keep asking this same question, we keep pointing out the rather obvious answer, which is then ignored in favor of more of that question and more sad emojis. Like I keep saying, you gotta stop doing that kind of thing or nothing is gonna change. There's no way around that.
I don’t want to get up today.

I don't either. Today is not a work day for me because all my clients are going to be at home watching the Super Bowl so they don't need me. I'm in my bed on my laptop eating junk food and candy, and it's 11am. I think it's just going to be that kind of day.

Isn’t it a lifetime membership? Mine is. I’m here for good. Maybe a vacation now and then, though.

Some V.I.P. memberships are part time, and some are full/permanent. It was the same $10 fee if I remember right.

    Your V.I.P. membership is Lifetime.
    It requires no renewal.
So many books are getting returned that checking them all in is giving me a headache. :(

    I don't get the connection.

    Can you explain?
    Markness

The constant slamming sound when they fall into the book return and the physical exertion of checking them in then getting them to the right places.

You don't feel physically capable of doing the job, it sounds like.

How big is the book return?
The one at our local library is about 2.5 by 3 feet wide.
Recently there were some pillows placed in the bottom so the audiobook cases
don't drop onto the hard surface and pop open.
Petey vomited on my carpet and then I spilled an entire glass of milk after cleaning the former up. :(

    Any idea why he puked?
    Furball?
    Or what?
A kid at the library carelessly threw a book in the air that hit both an ND person and her service dog.
I never told anyone I don’t want them to not have a relationship so I think others can do the same for me.

So, why give power to such people by letting them control your feelings? What you say is a common thread through your "woe is me" postings. Does that make you feel good? How are you going to develop boundaries and agency? Do you respect those people so greatly that you MUST listen to them? Don't listen to their cruelties because their opinions are worthless

@Markness I just don’t want to give up on getting a girlfriend.

Behaving kindly toward yourself has no negative implications whatsoever toward that intention.

@Markness You don't have to give up at all. But focusing on other things is part of how you make progress to finding a girlfriend. Enjoy being you! Practice that guitar and try to learn new songs and techniques. Make doing so your "you time" and be darned selfish about it. :)
I mourn for what should’ve been my best years (18-30) and think maybe I really do need to kill myself?

Who told you that your 'best years' would be the ages 18 through 30?
I found out that I forgot to take my medications in the morning.

Yeah, that happens to most people who take daily medications once in a while. Not a good thing.

I take six medications plus vitamins twice a day and sometimes in the morning I forget but I take them later if it's not too late.
Can I still change my life around at my age and with my current circumstances?

Markness, even if everyone in the world felt sorry for you, that wouldn't fix the situation. Said the doctor examining the little kid that ate his pocket money, "change must come from within."

It’s almost midnight and I still haven’t eaten dinner yet. I can’t eat until my GI issues calm down.
