  • If I am allowed to be happy then so are all y'all. I hate my life in college but it's only temporary until I graduate & make a run for it.
I understand what is going on as deconstruction, & I feel useless. Having to renegotiate my whole existence, beliefs, etc., is bizarre.

If you mean PSTD recovery, it has a lot of deconstruction before reconstructing yourself.

    Did you mean that?
I know it's bad for me but I want ramen now, and Dr Pepper later.

I was just trying to talk myself out of a hamburger and chips and gravy for lunch. I think the two of you just helped to decide for me. Hamburger here I come. :)

I used to think that Dr.Pepper was something that had pepper in it…I was very wrong.
I love my girlfriend but I dread the social aspect of marrying her. I also dread my own graduation.

Just elope. No social interaction. You just tell people we got married. Plus it sounds romantic.

I didn't even go to my highschool graduation. Will do the same with college.

@phantom I skipped my high school graduation actually! It proved to be a decent idea. I might go to the college one, but that's because I want to retrieve some books, a pump organ, & a couple of old hand crank phonographs. Also I hid my bicycle, and it is a bit trashy looking but it's better than my car for getting around in town.
Up at night, rain falling. Fuzzy bathrobe found in luggage. Listening to Christmas carols a few days early on the radio. This is super nice.
I have to sit down and write it all out but I'm looking at some excellent news here.

Wellllllll. Let the other shoe drop and let us in on the good news you breathlessly dropped on us.
Tchaikovsky on the radio right now. I should have bought a good FM radio a long time ago.

The sound quality of tube type equipment has such a warmer quality to it than transistorized stuff.
I have a "fake" audiophile Bose Wave radio here, but since I live in a river valley, the reception is poor at best.
My favorite tuner amp is likely my Onkyo with the runner up being an Onkyo surround system that plays a fairly decent station 24/7.

I put a bluetooth module on it so we can play stuff remotely off of our phones.
My entertainment system is based on a Yamaha surround sound system bolstered with audiophile quality 5 way speakers augmented with a 250 watt sub.

I usually have tube radios but I confess this one was transistorized. You have really got a nice setup.
Tomorrow is a major religious holiday for Catholics. The day after should be a major holiday for me (being done.) Yet somehow final exams are a drain on the entire system.

It's the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. Protestants use the words immaculate conception to reference the whole virgin birth thing but Catholics are talking about Mary not having original sin

Wordsworth's poem with the lines: "Mother! whose virgin bosom was uncrossed/ With the least shade of thought to sin allied" basically is what was so exciting they made it a holiday. Wordsworth was a Protestant but he had the right idea

Oh yes, I have heard of that before, just forgot. Wishing you an early Merry Christmas!
