Standard people have odd standards. I was invited out on a work do this Friday. City centre restaurant and bowling on a Friday night. Initially said yes, then regretted it. Then a friend invited me to some woods to watch a meteor shower. So I cancelled the work do.

It's still good that they invited you, even though you might not get on well.

I think as long as someone makes an effort to be polite and considerate to their coworkers it doesn't matter if they are liked or not.

There can be cliques in jobs. It's a shame, but it is what it is. It doesn't feel nice being left out though. Feeling unseen or unheard is a common theme in my adult life. Maybe that's a reason I started to look and dress more outlandishly.

Yeah, i never understand who gets on well with whom and what people think about me either.
I am way too scared to dress outlandishly, i always try to blend in with people

Oh yeah, it scary sometimes when I go out and I'm dressed up. You get a lot of looks, people can outright jeer and mock you. I guess it helps I tend to walk around with my fire staff. Not many people pick on someone carrying around a 5.5ft metal stick.

I had to Google that haha. I guess it makes sense people get intimidated!

For the most part. Or it intrigues people. But when I'm staffing parks, you still get troublemakers who either make comments or come over and try and start trouble. Usually in a bid to show off with a group who they happen to be with.

But could it have something to do with you being sick? You mentioned something about being sick recently.
