Looking for happiness in relationships or jobs(!) is not good, since they are temporary. I need to change my past mindset and establish a thinking system that i can rely on when i am feeling down

Try meditation, it helps me a lot. Start easy from 5 min a day. Simply sit comfortably, no need of special posture just sit comfy, close your eyes and count your breath from 1-10 inhaling and exhaling slowly as you count. Try to focus on that untill your mind won't wander off and extend time of doing so once you feel confident. It's inexplicable magic in all of us that helps with many things.

Yes. I do the same. And then it's not there. I have a friend that is there. But l remind myself anything can happen. Maybe happiness is temporary?
