    Lost cost. Fairly safe. At least they were in the small towns. The YWCA was a place where girls just leaving home and having a job went, in the larger town near where I grew up. Large town being Battle Creek. Not Lansing, Grand Rapids or anything like Detroit.

    Some of it has to do with one's nature. Introverts tend to be much more content with their own company. Extroverts will struggle with it because they need people like others need air. Consider how being around others makes you feel. Drained or energized?

    It drains me on different levels depending on the circumstances. I am not content with my own company most of the time.

    Try refining that statement. It's not that you just want to know if you can. It looks to me as if what you really want is .....to draw and write stories.

    It took me a while to train my mind to focus on what's empirically in front of me to allow me to understand that despite feeling alone, I'm not actually alone. It doesn't stop the feeling of being alone, but it stops the depression that comes along with that feeling if we allow it.

    No, but it looks like you’ve expressed difficulties getting a girlfriend. If you want a girlfriend to fulfill your need for love, you could try to fulfill that starting with yourself.
