    You had expectations. Those expectations , commonly referred to as "dreams," I guess because of the illusory nature of such expectations. When they failed to materialize. You felt suffering. Then you projected this suffering onto the Universe. Then you catastrophized this feeling. Hence the existential persecutory nature of this feeling. Hopefully this explanation clarifies matters. Somewhat.

    I called the number I was given to schedule a blood test but only got a repetitive robot call that didn’t give me the option to do so.

    Do you know the hours/days for this place? It is Saturday today, and Easter weekend.

    Their site said they were open today. The robot call said they were open for walk ins but I don’t see why no one would’ve been unable to answer a phone call.

    My area is very empty unless you like handegg (American football) and drinking as well as smoking at the dumpy pool halls and sports bars. Both those venues also don’t like heavy metal music generally and usually cater to country, rap, pop, and radio rock fans.

    Best case scenario you either meet gardeners' daughters or some other alternative type folks from in town & at least ask some girls out. Getting turned down by a live woman is better than getting turned down by your mom's voice in your subconsious

    I got the Covid vaccine which was a dealbreaker for some ultra-religious girls; oh well--not like I'm marrying someone who now thinks I'm a cyborg. Best thing to do is laugh about it.

    Who knows? As many times as you've pondered this, do you not remember that some of the people who say that are only too willing to tell you why they say it? And it was never fun hearing their *reasons.* Ask them, if you're feeling masochistic and just want to hear it again.

    Sometimes they really believe that they are *only trying to help you.* Sometimes, I imagine, there are just some mean jerky people that you encounter. And other times, people aren't even saying that, but you interpret it that way.

    I would not recomend anybody with clinical depression starting a new relation or being parent untill they got into a more balanced mental state. That said, I have no idea of why those people told you that.

    I have no bond with my entire extended family except for one of my uncles, his wife, and his daughter. The rest of my family hates me and they have said that. My family is completely divided on politics and social justice issues, and my parents and I, and my uncle’s family, have been kind of pushed out of the circle in recent years.
    I think being estranged from family members is more common than you might think.
