    Wax build up in ears can be an allergic reaction. Ears trying to protect themselves....

    A nurse can flush out ear wax with warm distilled water in a special nozzle that squirts water into the ears to remove wax buildup. There's also "ear candling" where special candles are used to cause the ear canal to relax and release the wax. I have had ear issues since birth and have to have large globs of wax removed every so often.
