You live farther north than me, that's right. That's a nice warmth/orientation set-up for your garden.

    I thought of saying that.
    It is an appropriate observation.

I moved that other hen & a batch of eggs out of the coop, into a cage where no one will bother her.

No the originals are two years old and the new ones are about 6-8 months old

['originals'....chickens in ragged greasy jeans & jackets, the Hell's Angels flock] What kind/breed are the new ones & the older ones?
    Rocco

Originals: 2 barred Plymouth rock, 2 Rhode Island red. New: 3 Amber white? 1 solid black w green sheen in the sun
I look exactly the way you think I do, provided you shut your eyes.

I have made several paintings of you lately based on your mentioned method. :p

I should clarify, paintings of a tree, or several

so that means pictures of people as represented by their avatars? otherwise it would be pictures of people as they look when your eyes are shut. Hmmm. Those are not mutually exclusive. The technique of painting when your eyes are shut wd be tricky, though. (I am not saying that is yr technique. Just that is wd be tricky.)
Can somebody break up that fight between Daffy & Donald Duck?

I tried to break them up but ended up having my face comically blown backwards by a dynamite candle, hit on the head with an over sized mallet and having an anvil drop on my head.

IRL I blush all the time...It's embarrassing which only makes my blush more pronounced and it always makes me appear guilty of something. oi vey
yay I edited the title of the DIY/How To thread. All day long it said DYI...a little dyslexia this morning.
Oh..can you possibly get pic of the chicks? sorry to hear about the death but six eggs sounds promising

I will try to get a picture of them. There may be others hatching. 21 days to hatch an egg; then hen stays on a couple more for the stragglers....after that...she gets up. What's left, chills/fails.
Tomorrow I should move the hen/chick/any good eggs that are under her.
You really do know where the chickens are.

    That sounds very exiting

They sat 3 times last year. This year. besides 2 hens, there is a timid rooster who sometimes sits on one batch. That's not working out well.

    LOL ohno
The hen that started setting first has hatched one chick. IDK if there will be more.
