  • Gonna have another microdose of mushies tonight. On Sunday night I did and I read 77 pages of a book in one sitting. This is odd for me as I normally tap out after 10-15 pages max. Phwoar. Also, depression the next few days is much improved. Has to be a small dose, otherwise it's visuals, mind melt and feels a little too intense and drawn out (5-6 hours long)

Some people I knew used to brew the shrooms with honey, 1 lb of honey to 1 lb of shrooms. Very low heat, barely warm the honey or you destroy the cilicybin. After half an hour strain it back in to the honey jar and keep it in the freezer. It never freezes solid, grab a spoonful whenever you like.

My ex puts them cut up in honey. Not sure she ever uses any heat source. I think she just puts them in then puts it in tea etc and drink it up fast. Yum

Actually, what am I saying "yum" for. I hate mushrooms. I just chew them fast and chug water and wait for the magic to happen.
Now I know the nostalgic scent at my aunt's house. It's horses. I now smell of horses and it's a wonderful musty, earthy, nostalgic odour. Odd to say I'm happy to smell like a horse, but there we go.

They literally stand outside & mow grass all day, of course they smell better than, say, wet dog.
    Coffee AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

@Outdated sort of. I'm typing up each of the processes as they dictate it to me. So I should feel ok when they head off to America this Thu. Back Monday after next.

Cool. It sounds like it's working out well for you.

I reckon so. The setting is nice, the workload is manageable. I'm getting more comfortable in the processes. Once the boss and his partner are back from their US holiday, I think my anxiety will be a lot calmer. But I'm doing ok.

Is one of them called St Mary?

I don't have a good explanation for it but I'm a little hung up on otters. Always have been. They're so great. :D

@Forest Cat I follow a few otter groups on FB along with opossums, birds and slime moulds. My Facebook wall is nothing but animals and macro photos of moulds and fungi. Especially as I unfollowed all my friends, as I tend to feel down when I see other people doing things. Silly I know, but there we go.
Went to top up the coffee jar from the canteen's big tub yesterday. Carefully pouring, and coffee granules went everywhere. Panic. Tidy tidy tidy. Then leave post haste. Get back to our office, and realised I'd topped up the jar by about an inch. Classic Ed.
I'm confused. The boss and his partner seem to start at 8 intermittently. I've been on my own in the office for over 90 mins. Haven't seen anyone this morning. Their schedules and start times aren't consistent. Seems strange to me.
Told the guy in the mill paint shop about the van. He said he's into the "free life" too. I want to learn more about him. He seems like a character. Has a very loud and energetic voice. He intrigues me. To quote Starship Troopers - "Would you like to know more?"
I'd love a Nikon Z series mirrorless camera and a couple of lenses. But I don't have a spare £18,000.
Not even their most expensive model or lenses either. Yeah...nah.
The guy in sales rescheduled his holiday time off. So Wed-Fri this week, we'll be back to a full team. So I should feel less overwhelmed. Today has been less stressful, asides from this morning's small vehicle fiasco. As I still have only basic product knowledge, I'm making sure I take all relevant details so that my boss or his partner can ring customers back. But I'm learning.

Do you think it would be a good idea to have a file or two on your computer desktop/actual desktop with the physical sizes of the products shown? I think it would be handy to have the specs as well.
First mistake at work. Sent details to haulier and they sent a vehicle that's too small. Director said this is a "logistical nightmare". Me being the one man band for logistics, and this being day 5. I don't feel great. I got quite overwhelmed, and full of panic and guilt. Even though I acquired new knowledge, it's left me frazzled, and yesterday did that too.

Don't kick yourself too hard, every new job comes with a few teething problems.

Yeah, it's early days. I do find I tend to be too hard on myself a lot though.
45 mins left. Brain is a bit frazzled now. It's been all systems go and juggling too many things. Waiting for responses so I can't get things done how I normally would like to.
Man in sales is off all week. Been left alone in the office multiple times. Sink or swim on day 4. Taken a lot of calls. Still don't know the product much, which adds to frustration. But I'm holding my own and doing the best I can.
“That’s one of the peculiar things about bad moods—we often fool ourselves and create misery by telling ourselves things that simply are not true.”

It is not just bad moods. For fourteen years I told myself lies that contributed to my isolation and social immaturity. When I broke out of that cage those lies were still with me as a reminder of that old trauma, creating PTSD. Only now I am working to extinguish those lies.

Dealing with things that are simply not true isn't that easy I'm afraid...
The owner and his partner were so happy with me on my first day, that they danced back to their home next to the yard. Its really lovely here. I feel very lucky.

    Quite a rebound! Well done...again. ;)
This is the loveliest place I've ever worked, with the nicest people I've ever worked with. I'm quite shocked how good a fit this is. There's fields either side of the buildings which are owned by the company. Trees and grass everywhere. Workload seems manageable and nobody is stressed or irritable. I've hit the jackpot. After all these other jobs and strife, this makes this one all the more special.

Very nice! I wish you all the best.

When I felt that way, it was easy for me to recognize things needing doing that I was good at. That way I could define my roles or move into a position I created. I would like to see you accomplish such to your benefit.

@Aspychata it's a timber cladding merchant. The job won't be riveting, but the people are nice, as is the location and atmosphere of the place. Pay is decent too and the company is expanding soon. I really think I could stay here a long time in a secure and pleasant job.

@Gerald Wilgus I've always been a hard worker in my jobs. The director said he's looking for more "core staff" and the guy in sales said too few people actually care about their jobs. This both made me smile as I am a hard, efficient worker and can get a lot done. I've tried hard in other roles and was overlooked. I think my hard work here will pay off nicely.
First day at work today. Up at 6am. Although I woke up several times last night. Took a while to get to sleep too. All to be expected. Today will be fine, I'm just feeling a little jittery.
