  • I left my crochet hook at home. Now all I can do is feel the areas of dreadlock that I want to work on, but can't do anything about it. Maybe I should buy a second crochet hook and keep it at work.
It's been a very very long time since I ever did the whole torrenting thing. Not sure if this is against site rules, but if anyone with knowledge of good sites to use - can you DM me? I used to use pirate proxy but most of those files are so old they don't ever seem to download at a good speed, if at all

I think I should be ok to say this as it's just torrenting software. I have been using qbitorrent it's very secure and has a wiki to add reliable sources and search right within the app itself. That's what I use. What you use it for is your choice :)

I also use qbittorrent, never had a problem with it. If there's plenty of seeds I can download at 20 gigs/hour. I did PM you by the way.
Got accepted for a 3 month exhibition near Milton Keynes. Visited the gallery yesterday, they said it's not the kind of work they'd normally exhibit, and they'd get back to me in 7 days. They emailed me the same day, in the evening. Happy times.
GP secretary rang me. Said they'd been trying to ring me for weeks. No missed calls? Gave me the autism questionnaire to complete again. Yet they sent me one that's clearly for the doctor to complete - not the patient. Ach, this is pathetic. I've waited over 18 months. I filled out the form as best I could and told them this is clearly not for a patient to complete.

I once lost my bank card and applied for a new one. I waited very long for it and had speaked in person to them. they were not very helpful. they said that they are not responsible for the long waiting time and acted like it was my fault.

I´m always polite, but I then once said "it would be great if you next time don´t send it into nirvana, but to me instead."

they acted like I would talk nonsense, but I knew that they lost my card and sended it to an old bank instead and not wanted to admit their fault.

sometimes I answer a bit sarcastic to show my frustration lol. but still politely and only a bit.

hope they finish your application soon.
Just finished my 16th and final dreadlock. Now I need to wait and debate when I shave the top and sides of my head.
I'm really excited - I've made a custom list on Google Maps, and now I'm looking on satellite and street view to find quiet farm roads, with enough roadside or layby space to park up my van. Soon I'll have a wonderful collection of secluded places to park up and not be bothered by anyone. It'll be lovely.

I guess with a van you have no noise problems, because you can just move away : D

but how´s the internet? I guess there is something like unlimited mobile internet (phone).

@Shaddock I'll be looking to get a new SIM with unlimited data. But with a good solar setup and big capacity lithium leisure batteries, I can run a laptop all evening, or a console and TV etc. We shall have to wait and see.
Auto electrician has found the fault. Should be fixed by end of the week. Next stop, get the MOT done.
So, I'm replaying Oblivion and I got a bit hyper impersonating 2 NPC fight scene dialogues.

I think you should be a comedian lol. I mean that, I'm not joking!
A couple of people have told me I should do standup but I'm absolutely not funny enough lol, my jokes are way too dry.
I'm never moved by celebrity deaths. I like some songs from Migos, and just heard that one of them was shot dead, and my brain just went "yep". Honestly, the amount of hip hop stars who get gunned down makes it a bit of an anti-climax when you hear about it.

The only celebrity death that even remotely affected me was when I found out George Carlin died, and that was over a decade ago.

Just thought I'd share an NMS portal address with you, one I found myself. The portal site is pretty.

Easieast way: Buy navigation charts from vendor closest to transporter on space station. Buy the “Alien Cartographic Data” charts. When on a planet they’ll show you one of 3 types of building, you need to find a Monolith. Solve the puzzle at the Monolith correctly and you can enter the dialogue again to find a portal location. Requires one culturally relevant artifact, VyKeen Dagger, Korvax Casing or Gek Artifact.

A good buzz and a good game are a great way to start the day. is NMS better at 1080 pixels?
    Raggamuffin
    Raggamuffin
Wasn't any better in 1080 and it's doing weird artifacts when in menus which is strange, as it didn't do that the first time I played it, and it's only in menus. Strange. Hassle free gaming is what I wanted from an Xbox. It's failed to deliver.
So I got No Man's Sky for Xbox Series X as I was fed up with the choppy framerate on my PC (with a 3070Ti). Xbox framerate on that game is rubbish too. Even at 120hz at 1440p. So much for plug & play and smoother gaming experience. The drops are noticeable but not as harsh as on PC, but I'm hypersensitive to any FPS drop. I point it out to so many people and they don't notice it. Argh.

@Misery I tried no end of guides. It's more than likely to be my 6700K. I think that game is quite the CPU drain and a quad core from 6th Gen isn't going to cut it. So adding a 3070Ti into the mix wasn't really giving me huge gains in other areas. on 32GB 3000Mhz RAM and an SSD. So it should've been capable. But it wasn't.
    Misery
    Misery
Ohhh, I see. Yeah, it's definitely a very demanding game overall, so that makes sense.
    Raggamuffin
    Raggamuffin
@Misery I'll set the Xbox to 1080 resolution and see how that effects it. All in all, the FPS drops are noticeable, but nowhere near as severe as PC. I'll just have to persevere. I know NMS does end up feeling repetitive after long game time. But it's such a magical experience. I love it. Meg wants to play more as she got to try it once for a few hours. So we might end up on a gaming sesh of NMS.
I like some of the genre, but I never listened to Kanye as he seemed spiteful, bitter and unstable. I'm enjoying the Schadenfreude of seeing his empire crumble.

He suffers from bipolar. It's a rough ride if they don't medicate. I was married to bipolar. More then half their marriages end up in divorce.
    Raggamuffin
    Raggamuffin
You'd think he'd have enough money to medicate, therapise etc. The ego on him seems very off-putting by all accounts. He reminds me of the nonsense I got up to when I used to go online when I was drunk. Absolute car crash.
    Aspychata

Yes, they suffer from grandiose thoughts. I have seen a little in my ex. But my ex isn't bipolar 1, he is more bipolar 2. The thing about meds, is its hard to medicate, the options are horrible, like lithium. Kanye definitely has grandiose thoughts.
I believe my ex feels grounded when l am with him. He has less grandiose thoughts.
These short term, interest free finance options are dangerous; especially paired with my impulsivity. For days it's been gearing up towards it, and finally I pulled the trigger and got an Xbox Series X and 3 games because it's "only" 190 a month x3. My PC is a little long in the tooth, so I figured why not go back to plug & play gaming. Haven't done that properly since PS2 era.
    Raggamuffin
    Raggamuffin
It's the first time I've done such a thing in a year. But yes, it's something I prefer to avoid, but impulsivity is a bit of a beast to try and negotiate with at times.

It's a hard cycle to get out of if you fall in to it. My bank account has automatic overdraught, if I'm in the red I pay interest, if I'm in the black I earn, for many years I lived on that overdraught too much. I always had a limit on it of $400, they put it up to $10,000 one time without telling me. Didn't I go off my nut when I found out. It's been back at $400 ever since.
    Raggamuffin
    Raggamuffin
Yeah I lived on my overdraft for years, highest it went up to was about 3k. But these days I'm always in the positive which is good. Mind you that coincided with after selling the house and that money is gone now. So. Well, at least for now I'm in the positive.

@Outdated thank you very much for saying that. I've had several people say nice things about it. I just hit record and figured I'd ad-lib. Turned out alright according to others. Personally I feared it'd be too boring, but I think I was just being too hard on myself. Ye olde inner critic.
Boxanne (my Luton van) is in with the auto electrician today. Here's hoping he remedies the ABS light fault quickly.

Boxanne, you don't have to put on the red ABS light? :) Those days are over, you don't have to drive around like that all night.
JHG paid me 2 weeks wages, not one like they said they would. I wonder if it's because I initially confronted them on my dismissal. Either way, the good will is appreciated.
