Sunset times by mid-Feb will mean I can staff after work when I work from home. And watch sunsets again. Not long to wait Jan 27, 2022 at 10:29 AM

My mum came into my room in tears, apologising for being a bad mother. Kind of awkward.

Knots in cables take me from calm to homicidal within seconds.

To keep cables from knotting, I use the "contractor's wrap". It's the same as crocheting. You can use it for storing most cables or ropes. You plug the extension cord into itself, overhand knot the end and then do repeated slip knots until it looks like a work of art. Then just overhand knot the end, roll it up and put it away.

Day 4 of no PC gaming and healthier eating. Feeling better in myself since knowing I'll be quitting the rat race. Healthier mind and body.

Bumped into my fav friend from back in the day in the village. Had a really good catch up. Straight from the off - in depth discussion.

Annual appraisal at work. My stomach is a mess this morning. Very painful.

It got cancelled 15 mins before it was due to occur. Classic management style. A similar style to a fatal road traffic accident.

Gut rot isn't as intense today. Should pass in a few days I'm hoping. Not pleasant, but I'm trying to eat better and drink more water.

I know we were talking fancy remedies earlier. But you poor thing. Try some burnt toast and weak chamomile tea. I hope you feel better soon.

Concerta XL stomach aches are horrendous. I'm not sure how best to approach this. The meds help with focusbut I can't focus when I'm in pain

I eat 3 meals. not snacking as much. Also many hours in between meals, and its then that my stomach hurts. But when I eat it'll take hours to reach where it hurts and stop. I'm strongly considering stopping the meds tbh.

I stopped taking it. I'll just wait for my stomach to calm down. These symptoms are nothing new. Had them in the past and know the signs if it were something worse, and it's not. Just unpleasant.

Therapist says my childhood was very traumatic. My parents are manipulative and gaslight all the time. Quite a lot to digest.

I’m sorry :( My childhood was also very traumatic. I’m still processing it in therapy. I hope your therapist is able to help you process your trauma too.

Yes! He's right. A tea with mint, ginger, burdock, and licorice will be very soothing for your tum tum.

If it's downright awful though, go off of dairy for at least a few days and drink a full bottle of ginger kombucha. That is the insta-cure for a raging stomach.

Cambridgeshire is one of the sunniest and driest counties in the UK. As such winters don't tend to snow much. Usually we get snow early in the near year, as opposed to around Xmas. Frosty mornings is about as exciting as it gets.

Average total winter snowfall here is 12 feet. There's rarely more than 3 feet on the ground at a time though....

We probably get a couple of brief flurries here per year. Usually tail end of winter, just before spring. But who knows? Either way, I enjoy the early evenings as it means people aren't about as much when I go for my walks. Also I find it very refreshing to go on winter walks and wrapping up warm.
