  • So annoying that I got a pay rise at work only to find out I have to pay full council tax because of it. So I have gained nothing by the pay rise, I'm still poor and broke. Tell me why life is so unfair?

You have to pay more council tax because you got a pay rise and the tax takes all of the pay rise? That's just stealing, a lot of these taxes we pay are theft.

    Daylight robbery, yes.
Missed out on what looked like a really fun night last night. Everybody I love was there, and food and 90s music. But I couldn't go because I didn't want to spread my germs around. I'm a lot better today so I'm ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Glad you feel better and hope you get another chance to hang out with people soon!
I don't get why my two black rats fight aggressively when I put them together in their playroom but when in their cage they are always sleeping together and love each other.
Why can't colds be like chickenpox where you only get it once in your life?

Once a person has had chickenpox, they may later in their life
    get shingles.

    Well even so lol

There are so many varieties of what is referred to as the common cold.

Off sick today, I sent an email to my boss to tell him I wasn't well so not coming in, I didn't want to phone the office because the deputy would answer and I'm scared of him, so I rather just email my boss. It's worked before. But I didn't get a reply so I'm unsure if he's got it or not. Now I'm worrying about it. Can't I just be ill in peace?

So you have sent two emails to inform.

    Thank you x
My supervisor phoned earlier and he's so nice and kind, he said to take tomorrow off too but phone him at 12pm to let him know either way if I'm coming in Friday or not. At my workplace there's a policy where if you're sick it is advisable to take two days off.

Get better, my neighbor isn't feeling well either.
Don't feel well but I can't afford to have any time off work because I've had sick days a few months ago and this time my pay will be affected. I'm one of those people who really can't focus at all at work when I'm unwell so it isn't always worth going.
I was in town at work (part of my job) and I was so thirsty but didn't have my drink with me so I thought I'd buy a drink while I was near a small shop. I'd had a pound coin in my pocket for ages and the drink I wanted was 1 pound so I gave it to the woman behind the counter - only to be told it's a bloody euro. I hadn't noticed, as it looked similar to a pound. So I had to go thirsty until I got back to the garage.

I gave all my British money to my cab driver as he took me back to the airport, as we raced thru England. Then l arrived in New York, and the blackout started leaving me to take a taxi to Connecticut. Oh boy. I take a banger, and some chips, but pass on the meat pie. Lol

I love danish coins they have a hole in them, found some on the streets as a kid. I didn't identify them as coins at first, thought they were old jewellery. I was so disappointed lol, I thought I found a treasure.
Why is it that whenever I haven't heard a song on the radio for months and I think "I haven't heard that song for ages", it suddenly comes on the radio the next day? This has happened a few times now and is starting to freak me out.

It's definitely unnerving. I have this happen with all kinds of things. But l just base it on we are clued in on more then we believe.

Whenever I had to study for a subject there was a documentary about it on TV.
Why is everything weirdly contradictory in this country? So they encourage everyone to recycle or dispose of our old things we don't want any more responsibly, but then charge you a ridiculous amount to take your old large things to the dump. Then they wonder why people fly tip. Why do they think everyone is made of money, especially in difficult times like this?

Around here you are not supposed to take things out of the trash, even usable items.
Some rules are meant to be ignored.
I wish it was socially acceptable for me to go trick-or-treating because I could go with one of my pet rats on my shoulder and would probably win the best costume prize lol.
Went to a social gathering in a garden yesterday and I didn't use any sunblock because I stupidly thought that because it was cloudy (grey clouds) and the chance of rain I wouldn't get sunburnt. I was wrong. I'm sunburnt all over my shoulders, arms, legs and nose. Oops.

Less than a day later and it seems to be healing fast. That's a relief.

    Ouch!

My maternal grandmother would say that milk helps with sunburns

I've read that aloe vera does too

My mother used to soak cloths in cool tea and put on my sunburned places, when I was a child.
I'm in the town on a busy Saturday morning and I'm feeling so self-conscious because there are loads of people and I feel like they're staring at me, it's horrible.
What is the matter with my husband? I've come home from work in a happy, chilled mood and he says I'm stressing him out because I calmly asked him why he seems to be in a bad mood. I wish he would tell me if anything is bothering him. He was in this same mood last night too, and this morning.

    Misty Avich
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like that. Yes, it was his intention to do all that, I was at work (he texted me), and I'd know if his back hurt because he'd walk a bit lopsided but he's got a strong back and doesn't often get backache when doing manual tasks.

Maybe a sit down in a neutral place like a coffee shop or a park? Ask him what is going on? If you don't get to the bottom of it, then you might worry. Honesty, communication is so important in relationships.
    M
    Misty Avich
It certainly is.But sometimes when he has something on his mind, like a money worry or trouble from his children or other family members,he goes into one of these aloof modes and doesn't tell me what is wrong even though it's written all over him that there's something bothering him.If it's a physical pain he'll tell me right away. He's NT as well yet I seem to be the better communicator in our relationship.
We have a new bed delivered today and my husband is changing the bedroom around. I'm so excited (any changes like this excite me), but I've still got another 3 hours to go at work before my shift ends. I just want to go home right now and see our new bed!!

Bedrooms are very important. I agree with you there.

I'm a sleepaholic as well lol
Why am I so social? I absolutely love socialising online, chatting to different people on different social sites at the same time, and at work all I want to do is talk to people rather than work. Is it due to my ADHD?
    M
    Misty Avich
I don't go up to strangers and talk though.

I’m exactly the same way. I am also diagnosed with ADHD. I have trouble finding autistic extroverts.
    M
    Misty Avich
I'm both introvert and extrovert, often at the same time lol. I'm more extroverted online, but offline I'm socially orientated and have the same desires to chat to colleagues but I have more boundaries.
Why am I always hungry? It's 1.30 in the morning, I had a substantial meal earlier, and now I'm hungry. It's like there's a hollow space in my stomach that needs to be filled with more food. I know it isn't thirst. I know what thirst feels like. Thirst is like an imagined tingling feeling in your throat giving you the urge to have a drink. Hunger is like a hollow space in your stomach that makes you feel empty.
Just realised I'd replied to my own comment on YouTube that I'd posted like 3 years ago. I quickly deleted it. That could have been embarrassing, as there seems to be a hidden rule online not to like or comment on your own status/post.
What is the point in having an NHS app if it won't let you do anything on it like keep track of your medication or book appointments?
