It would feel so great to prove those who doubted me wrong.

@Tony Ramirez Its generally the same group of people that do this, some woman and a couple of guys who are married. I don't think that there are lot of people here that have had plenty of experience dating woman, what i usually see is guys that married their 1st or 2nd girlfriend, other woman or those who had no success at all.

You will hit on woman, and we do say no. But sometimes the females in your area aren't looking for a guy. It's not your fault, and doesn't mean you aren't important.
Why is happiness always out of reach for me?

If you actually read his posts he tried a lot of different things more than I tried but like me he is still single. Go tell that to your spouse if you have one.

@Tony Ramirez It doesn’t matter, the prophecy will always fulfill itself with these types of people.

Great comeback, by the way. Really owned me with that. /sarcasm

@Rullklok I don’t think I deserve to feel bad. I don’t want to feel this way.
I don’t know what I should read right now.

You could flip a coin. This is sure fire decision making technique. If you're dis-satisfied with the result of the coin flip, you know you want something else.

So, did you read anything Saturday night?
    Markness
    Markness
I did. I decided to read the library books I checked out because two of them were due today.
How can I like or even love myself despite my failures?

What I had in mind that you could do without is the incessant judging and blaming. Typically of yourself.

What do those two things have to do with feeling like I mess up everything I do?

I ended up leaving the place after an hour.

You went to a gathering that you noted you don't enjoy to begin with(First Friday) and considered using alcohol which you don't like. The music & activity weren't as you expected. But rather than prolong the experience you left after a one hour sample. That seems like the positive aspect of the night. Extracting yourself from the situation.
It’s supposed to be a 90’s night but the music on the stereo isn’t even playing Nirvana.

I've heard people claim they were doing a '20s night without even playing the Goodrich Silvertown Cord Orchestra or Nat Shilkret's Orchestra. The question is, were people enjoying themselves?
Should I make myself drink something alcoholic even though I don’t really like how those drinks taste? I feel like I have to do so tonight.

Bar closed up so I went home at 11 PM. You do not want to be drunk on a bicycle anyway. There's always a few loud folks but there were some people who had a beagle pup at the bar who seemed to hate the music but love the food. (I agree with the beagle.)

They aren’t going to do karaoke because of the local musician playing his guitar tonight.
I decided to acquire Killing Joke’s Pandemonium album again. I won’t part with this copy.

Made me not like the band and leave the album there.

Killing Joke is one of my favorite bands. The song "Invocation" from Hosannas from the Basement of Hell was what got me into them, but Pandemonium is the first album of theirs I bought.

Invocation actually got me re-interested in them.
Do I even have friends here anymore?

That seems like a loaded question. You want somebody to say yes, and then you're gong to counter with the idea that you don't feel that way and that everything sucks and everybody is against you and nobody wants you to succeed at your treasured goals.

I felt a lot of anger about how my existence since the beginning of this year boil up in me.
