Sometimes… but I think my light shines for others too :) Part of what keeps me optimistic is making other people feel happy and welcome.

Interesting…not only does the character share that name, he is also Jewish and was called Dr. Singer. Furthermore, the character attempted to go to Chicago until he realized the antidote for the “Ladder” drug didn’t work.

Fun bit about coffeehouses; most of the people there are also as isolated as us, and frequently I see people who aren't expecting me to be friendly. Which is funny--I wasn't expecting them to be friendly. So it starts with "nice hat" or "hey that's neat" and from a compliment you can get a whole conversation.

(And no I didn't take up on his offer to join the local committee--I told him that I'd have to settle in town & take up residence first, otherwise I'd be some annoying out-of-stater showing up.) But no seriously--if you take the "date" thing out of it for awhile you can have a lot more interesting life. And if you end up finding a girl, then so much the better.

Otherwise--you risk hanging your whole happiness on someone else who may or may not exist!

Ever keep a record of your dreams? Not just particular ones that stand out, but any that you remember? Can be interesting to review, see what was on your sleeping mind over time.

Today after I found out I missed some assignments and emails as well as dropped low in my checkings. I am filing out my W2.

In the exact same club if I had less finances I couldn't make a free phone call on my mobile phone

I knew in my gut that my comment would trigger that sort of response. I'm not saying females can't be friends with females. I just read these random acts of kindness as having more of a romantic undertone. And yes - I know not everyone is hetero, but in the western world nearly 90% of each gender is hetero. And yes, I know - apparently there's more than 2 genders.
