  • I always feel like I'm trying to 'one up' someone when I mention behaviour is my field of interest and study.. but I just prefer putting some context with my advice. As if I should be sorry for having some knowledge on the subject?? It's a weird feeling, I don't understand it.

    @mysterionz, that's very much true. I'm not a 100% sure how to interpret this but I wholeheartedly agree!

    I wouldn’t say that your advice is trying to one up.sometimes we use what we know to provide additional context. The difference is in how that’s applied and if it comes across too much of thinking that only one opinion matters — which I have not seen you do. Should not feel sorry for having knowledge in a field of interest.

    @Owliet Thank you very much! That's really helpful and I'll keep it in mind.
    Bouncing back from a burnout always sucks, but I'm happy to feel like I'm back on track again!

    I know what you mean. Right now I'm in a bit of a funk myself. It ebbs and flows...
    Why do I gotta overanalyze people's behaviour.. and why do I often turn out to be correct? It's keeping the tiresome behaviour alive..

    How does it keep it alive? Is it like the Buddhist idea about not giving energy to the negative?
    I dislike how suspicious I get of other people.

    Fear = skepticism = Suspicion = Paranoia = panic = anxiety

    Is that how it works....? something like that.

    Same here :( I generally don’t think anyone’s intentions are good or honest.
