  • What one earth is wrong with police forces??? It's 2016 and we are STILL seeing systematic, legal persecution by our so-called protectors...
May you rest in peace, Alton Sterling. And may justice befall those uniformed lynch mob cowards. Law enforcement? Ha! What law?
Job interview tomorrow! I hope it's ok to wear smart jeans, business shirt and jacket to a Hort interview, cos that is what I'm wearing.

Thanks. It went well and they said they would've liked to hire me full time but it isn't possible for me to get there at 7am. So it's seasonal work for now. :)
    Ugh...sick...

Thank you, Tom. So do I... I am so thirsty but even the electrolyte stuff won't stay down. I'm exhausted from vomiting, adrenaline surges, palpitations and fever... No fun! So glad I have you guys to distract me. :)

Sorry to hear you are sick Cosmo. Might this be a psychosomatic reaction to the upcoming job interview? It's definitely happened to me at times.

I'm pretty sure it's norovirus, caught from my daughter (3) who was the same a couple of days ago. I couldn't avoid catching it as she was sick in the car and I had no way to disinfect myself before getting home.
While trying to avoid stabby lemon trees you manage to post such beautiful music

I'm not a musician myself but wrote lyrics for my ex-husband's band and co-wrote with Swinging Popsicle. When I left Japan I had a big karaoke party with all these bands and that was fun. I finally got to sing with them. :)

Oh, and I just remembered I did sing on some tracks my husband's band recorded...but I won't tell everyone here what they are, haha. I'm not a natural born singer. Lyricist, maybe. Singer? No.
Note to self: don't let the lemon tree stab you in the head. Remember this: it hurts, bleeds, swells, bruises and gives you a headache.

A little at a time, it doesn't seem to happen quickly. Glad to hear, I've been pretty draggy and lost myself.

Good to hear. I swear we are helping each other just by being on AC. Propping each other up so we don't fall over in the mud. Thank you, my friends. It means so much.
    Rut...rut...stuck in a rut...

Reminds me of that scene in the movie French Kiss where they're sitting on the bench in France.

I'll try to post that little clip in a thread somewhere here. It is amusing and perhaps appropos.
Ugh... Brain full...full of hypanthium, epipetalous androecium, carpellate inflorescences, hypogynous ovaries, peduncles, pedicels, petals..
Time for a post-meltdown haircut... Cut off the crappy emotional residue and try to start afresh.

Yeah. Showering is SO much easier. :) Okay also easier on hikes, walks, & jogs. Change is just weird and stressful. My shadow looks all wrong.

When you change a hairstyle that you've had for years it feels strange...it's different to slowly growing into a new shape! I like to keep my hair short; it suits my face shape and is generally easier. I have THICK hair.

It makes me smile when Kestrel use "puppy" to describe her loves one. I can imagine the scene. lol
Well, I survived my first day on campus thanks to a half hour rest on a park bench. :) Am feeling the pain and exhaustion now, though.

Thanks, kestrel. :) It was great to be among botanical-minded people for a whole day, and that made it much easier.
