    No grown human has the validation to tell me I have to coddle them because they choose not to grow their own strength. You can shout at me and tell me I'm Satan because I don't give you a cookie but that doesn't make you right; it makes you annoying.

    Where are the grown ups!? Where are the people who fought wars to protect people? Where are the people who chopped down trees and built houses out of sweat and pain? Where are the people who would only get offended if their family was shot!?

    Sometimes grown ups tend to their own lives especially when tired of dealing with people in need of cookies. k & t went hiking today. It was great.

    She didn't ask for "understanding and kindness" she asked for advice. I can't simplify this any more than that.

    I think their IS a trick to it because grown adults ask for real advice and then pitch a little temper tantrum for getting that instead of a cookie. The trick is spotting people who haven't grown up.

    Finally figured out why my boat smelled so bad after I pulled the gas tank out. Had at least 6 gallons of 30+ year old rusty gas! Gross!

    First mistake I made was dumping some on the gravel to check it. That was before I realized it was the source of the smell. X(

    Perhaps for a small fee an auto parts store will take it to be disposed of - the way they do with used motor oil. My dad's antique cars sometimes started to smell really bad if he didn't drive them much.

    Now my parents are claiming that no one else got dinner or cake on their birthdays even though there are pictures. They are claiming that none of this happened, they claim they were completely attentive on my birthday... when I was at my friend's and posting this here.

    There seems to be no rational way they could explain away pictures of birthday cakes. I saw when you posted about your DIY b'day observance & thought it was well done.

    Why thank you Rocco! I have been enjoying my sunday chatting with people here actually. It is nice here in my neck of the woods; it's overcast with an autumn breeze. Just enough to justify a little space heater to warm the toes.
