That looks like an early Ivo creation. I'm not sure if I'd have enough hair to drive something like that with such a short wheelbase.

Sportster I got to sit and paw all over Don Garlits Swamp Rat IV in the early 90s.
They had an in-out box up by your feet,a driveshaft between your legs that looped over a 1951 Oldsmobile rear end with the rear of the housing riding your crotch. The seat was thin aluminum.There was no floor,only two stirrups near the tiny firewall to hold your heels up so you could brake and throttle it. The car is a replica that Don built to original specs that goes on the road for cacklefests. It has to be push started and has no reverse

1962 was during the fuel ban years when Wally Parks said the stuff was too dangerous to race with,so the car has a blown and injected 413 wedge motor that runs on methanol.
The fuel was back on tap in 1964

I saw his driver looking very lost on the wrong road across from my shop. I told my buddy,"Jump in my truck,we are going to see a Swamp Rat" I asked him what he was looking for and he said a place to park for the night and some food and beer. I had the motel right across from my garage with a bar and grille.Then I asked him if he had a Swamp Rat with him. He replied yup,IV,I rattled off what I knew about it and asked if I could see it. He just said lets go get this beer. We took it out of the trailer and was all over it after he got food and drink in him. If I look around in my film camera pix,I will scan a few and upload 'em
