The Civic Arena

The Arena was nicknamed The Igloo when it was home to the many time world champion Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. Concerts,monster truck events and other activities rounded out the use of the facility during other times. The Igloo was demolished a few years ago,but I still have fond memories of it

The Arena was a domes one that allowed it to be a year round venue.
In later years,the dome wasn't fully opened often,but sometimes during special concerts,they would open a few sections
