Downtown Pittsburgh, 1965

WIIC TV was one of the 3.5 TV stations we got reception from when I was a child
It must help to be in a big city. When I was a child in Boise, we only had two stations. One had NBC and the other had CBS & ABC.

@clg114 WIIC aka channel 11 one of 4 Pgh. television stations was home to Bill Cardille, very famous for his Saturday night show "Chiller Theater" where he starred as Chilly Billy.

He was a fixture in Pittsburgh broadcasting for decades that took on many roles including a radio show.
He got world wide recognition played his own role as a newscaster in the 1968 Pittsburgh native George Romero's cult classic zombie movie "Night of the Living Dead".
