Major Tom

Trying to teach my son to speak.

He's trying, but everything comes out "ba or pa" . Haha
What were you saying to him?

It sounded to me like there was some vowel variation in what he
said, in addition to the consonants.

I was trying to teach him "outside" or "soto" in Japanese. Towards the end I said "soto ikitai" which means I want to go outside. He's definitely trying and I take it as a good sign.
