2.4 liter 22RE with mild port work and a radical camshaft hitched to a 5 speed manual transmission.

@Nitro How do you like the 2.4 liter 4 cyl and you want a manuel transmission for a true offroading vehicle thats what my dad said.

It has more than enough power to get the job done and is easy on fuel. It was delivered with a 5 speed and bought because it had one.

@Nitro I have never owned a 4cyl do you recommend me owning one. What kind of mpgs do you get. What size tires and what year is it

If you want one,then get one.
Mine has been performance enhanced.
It gets 21 mpg riding on 235-75-15 inch rubber and was built in 1986.

What performance enchancers has it had.
And its carburated im guessing.

I opened the intake and exhaust ports in the cylinder head,did a three angle valve job,added a performance camshaft,a bigger exhaust system moly faced piston rings and a cast exhaust header.
It runs a factory electronic fuel injection system and has been dialed up for more horsepower than a stock configuration.
