1900 shop closed in 1965

This shop opened in 1900 and ran until 1965...all the shop was left as is and has only been cleaned up enough to show it to the public. It is a true time capsule of the early machining and casting processes with many of the machines in place since the turn of the 20th century. The office desk looks just the way it was left in 1965 as the door was locked at the end of the shift. As a machinist ,I felt the spirits of those who worked in the place. The original line shafting drive assemblies are all still in place, the exception was the use of an old gasoline forklift engine and gearbox having replaced the original steam engine from when the shop was opened.
