The white apparatus to the left of the door is a pallet mounted air compressor based a 351 Ford V-8 engine. It looks just like a 351 in their 1990 vehicles with the exception of a replacement cylinder head that serves as the compressor while 4 pistons on the other bank serve to power the unit. It produces 185 cubic feet of air per minute at a plow rate of 90 pounds per square inch head pressure with just about the same fuel economy as a full sized pickup truck running at 3/4 throttle.
