Tonight we were in an accident. My daughter was checked out at the hospital, but everyone is okay. A truck ran a red light and plowed into us, hitting her door.
My poor daughter had to get a CT scan and an Xray tonight. Has a little black eye, but she's doing great. They were threatening to put her in a neck brace for 2 weeks, and she was terrified all the kids would make fun of her. Dr said in the end she didn't need it. She was so happy!
To make her feel better, at the hospital I ordered her a pizza and we came home in a cab and watched Return of the jedi while eating popcorn and totino's pizza rolls.
She's doing 99.9% of the chores these days, running errands. She's like little mommy while I've been ill. I hate it that I can't do more. I feel so lazy and worthless while my daughter slaves every day, not really getting a full childhood anymore.
And then just this week she's been to the hospital twice. Once for slicing her finger open, and then today for her door getting hit in the accident.
I'm sore and in shock, but it takes more than cancer and a crash to keep me down. In our family, we're born tough. We don't have time to bleed!
