These people just don't know how to communicate!

We've had 2 meetings last week and yesterday morning with someone from a new care company that they said was taking over my morning care allegedly from next week, anyway the social worker rang Mum up yesterday. and said the new company were starting this afternoon 5 till 6, fair enough, if not for the fact that the previous company were also scheduled to come 4 till half 6! Because their contract ends tomorrow and nobody had told their Managers that the new company were starting today so both companies' carers turned up.

I wouldn't mind but I spoke to the former company on the mobile this morning and all they did was blame the Council for not communicating with them, yet my family and I are stuck in the ruddy middle.

Social services, oy! Jesus wept.

And what's worse is that in the UK, the majority of care companies have no staff hardly because nobody with sense wants to work 80 hours a week on minimum wage with all the responsibility of looking after people who by rights should be in full time care in a Home.

Although having said that, I've been saying adamantly for years that until I absolutely have to,if God forbid, anything happens to my Parents, I am NOT going in residential care! I've seen those Homes, all they do is leave the clients to vegetate in front of the idiot box while the staff do as little as possible, if it was me in there I'd be in my room playing Xbox like I did that time I went in a respite Home up Woodhouse in 2002.
