Visiting places connected to the story of Sita and Rama.
So the story goes like this ( in short):
Rama, an Avatar( incarnation of God), was married to Sita ( incarnation of Mother earth-Bhudevi); He was the heir to the throne but due to some plots ( his father had three wifes and his third wife wanted her son to be the king so she arranged a plot to force the king to put her son on the throne and not Rama who was the first son of the first wife and therefore the heir) he was forced to exile in the forest for 14 years. So he went with one of his brothers Lakshman to protect Him and his wife Sita refused to stay behind without his husband so the three of them were travelling and visiting holy places and Sages and Saints for 14 years in India.
At a certain point in time Sita was abducted by a Demon king who took her to his kingdom in nowadays Sri Lanka.
So, Rama and Lakshman eventually , with the help of some new friends managed to track her down. But to get to her they had to build a bridge from the south of India to Sri Lanka wich is an island. But they succeded and in the end a war was fought and Sita was liberated, the Demon killed. They went back to their kingdom because the 14 years exile was finished and He was crowned the King because His brother refused the throne that his mother had injustly wonn for him.
Very beautiful story with a lot of hidden meanings. You can look up Ramayana. The first book written about their story.
