Too tired to say much, and too important not to make part of my blog entry.
It's still not quite real yet, even with the hour-long commute. The manager has an aspie vibe--wasn't a bit shocked that I couldn't find my car in the parking lot, was so matter-of-fact about it, without that sticky emotional effusiveness that makes NTs grate on my nerves (and which I do such a job of emulating because apparently that's what they like). I managed to comment that sometimes when I think I'm being tactful, I'm not, and she talked a little about how political things were and then added, very seriously, "I won't let you fail."
I wonder if I really was sending out a fear vibe, or if that was just in the context of the potential issues trying to get executives all onboard something that they all want (but might want different things from).
So tired. This is now job...5? God or Buddha or Jesus, preserve me from ever having another year like this again. My newest problem: orientation didn't include any information about how to submit timecards for invoicing. I hope my agent pulls his weight on this one. Really need a paycheck by year's end. I feel like my Mayan sign (below).
