I Feel a Bit Silly Now

So come to find out, my school has psychologists. 4 of them, in fact. I'll try to schedule time with them sooner rather than later. Or, should I wait until next school year? It's getting close to the end right now, and I don't want to have to waste gas and money driving up to the school or wherever over the summer.

Not to mention the already tight schedule from family matters. I'm supposed to be co-hosting for the school's talent show tomorrow night, but it doesn't feel real. I've only really been involved for an afternoon, and I'm not entirely sure that it's happening even though I know it is. I don't know, something weird.

Today wasn't very good, because I got out of the house later than I should have. This afternoon wasn't very good either, because I got upset that my mom and brother insisted on putting hot pepper brine in dinner. They called me immature, and I was too grown up to get upset over things like that. That also made me realize that I don't really have any adult that I trust. Not because of what I said, but because whenever I confide in my mom or dad they either minimize it or use it against me in some way. Ugh.

That sucks about your parents. Mine always minimized my problems when I was growing up. It took a looooooong time to get them to realize that I was never, ever going to doubt my own judgment (again). Now they're very supportive, but they weren't always that way. Gaslighting was just normal lighting for most of my youth.

Here's hoping your world gets brighter soon.
