Fragrant phlegm on Monogrammed Silk Hankie
Chewy nasal secretion on top of Scott Toilet Paper
Charred lung-bunny plus some Great Value Tissue from Wal-Mart
Concept:
The title names the subject.
The descriptor tells the type of result.
The button has a two fold meaning.
1. "Now serving" is like an announcement at mealtime.
2. "Now serving" is the function of the button itself, which when clicked
generates the result.
The idea is to present an idea which I find disgusting.
Eating snot. By writing this generator I wanted to see if I could
remove myself from a topic I find gross.
I used adjectives to modify the 'snot-words' to give it an appealing tone.
I searched for synonyms for the basic word 'snot' so there would be variety.
I collected a list of various products that a person might for blowing/wiping
his/her nose.
So the result takes the form of a, presumably, delightful or rare treat which
is produced by a talented chef and consumed in elegant or at least, tasteful
surroundings.
Whereas some people might think this generator is humor, I didn't
write it to be 'funny.' I wrote it as an exercise in distancing myself
from something that grosses me out: the topic of gouging around in
one's nose and eating the contents.
I am not interested in debating whether it's a healthful practice, or
whether I am repressed/finicky etc. I don't like to see children or
adults doing this. They frequently take the attitude that they are
being cute/daring/getting away with something 'naughty.'
This wasn't a habit of mine as a child. I noticed at school the kids
who ate snot also ate paste. That didn't appeal to me either.
