Finding the right word…

Lately I notice that I struggle to find the right words to describe something. For example, I couldn’t think of the word broth for thirty minutes and I was like you know the soup water…you know the sauce…my autism specialist thinks a speech therapist would be able to help me but I think it’s more a memory recall problem. Does anyone else struggle with this and know what’s going on?

A speech therapist probably could help. Also, look up Aphasia. It's a fairly common neurological condition that comes in a full spectrum of presentations. The speech therapist may have ways to help you get around the blockage to some extent. Also, you could consult a neurologist for a further evaluation if that option is available to you.
