Cooking is hard because of sequencing.

My test revealed that I have a hard time with sequencing and following steps. I can relate to this because I can’t cook for this reason. I have to watch someone cook and memorize what they do but it’s only good for short term memory so I lose it over and over again. Then I just always feel like I’m doing an experiment instead of knowing what I’m doing. Making spaghetti I try to remember that it’s 3 minutes or is it 5 minutes, then the noodles are aldente. And I just heat can of diced tomatoes in the microwave in a bowl. I forget sometimes the clock of the noodles and then they are too squishy to eat like an octopus. I am very tactile so tastes have to be just so. I never know how many noodles to cook either because they grow so I make a fan on the side of the pan and when it covers half the pan it’s enough. I forget this too though and get frustrated when I make too many noodles and they get hard as leftovers. Following recipes is hard too even though there are steps written down. I can’t visualize what it means when it says heat the noodles uncovered. Does it mean at some point unknown to me I cover it? It’s all very confusing.
