I'm 67 & after having several unpleasant communication problems lately which reminded me of the Doc in the Doc Martin series, got me wondering if I have Aspergers. Then I had a Major Crisis that put me in hospital for 7 days, exiting with a 'diagnosis' of ACA- Adult Children of Alcoholics! This was very negative news for me, as I have recently cut back on drinking, but some of the 'symptoms' quoted to me by the therapists hit home. On the other hand, some of them didn't, & I suffered NO withdrawal symptoms while being hospitalized.
On the Other Hand, having taken the Aspergers Test on AspiesCentral, a Lot of the more esoteric symptoms of Aspergers really hit home...
So I am confused as to what is really my state of affairs! Anyone out there have a similar experience?? I would especially like to find another source/ test for
Aspergers as well as ACA...
